Oh my, how lucky (or blessed) can I be? I just found out that I receive an additional 8 hours of personal leave a year. I'm not allowed to use my 120 hours of vacation until my probation is up (June 15th) but I can use personal holiday. I had used almost all of it already -- but now with that additional 8 hours, that leaves me with a balance of 17 hours!

That means that per calendar year, I receive 9 paid holidays, 5.0 hours of sick leave for every 80 hours worked, 36 hours of personal leave, and 120 hours of vacation. I guess it's true what they say about the excellent benefits that come with a state job!
